Screen size

This site is designed for screen resolutions 1024 x 768 pixels and larger. A screen of 800 x 600 will have a small amount of sideways scrolling. To change your screen resolution, look for "Display Properties" or "Monitors and Sound" in your Control Panel.

CSS

The layout of this site uses no frames and limited tables for online forms - everything is controlled by Cascading Style Sheets [CSS]. I use CSS to separate the content from layout. This allows for quick, easy maintenance and style changes for various mediums [i.e. screen or print]. Most importantly CSS reduce the page file sizes [thus shorter download time for you].

Text size

The site uses relative body text sizes that can be increased or decreased by using your browser menu [go View > text size or View > zoom]. If the browser you are using does not have this feature I recommend you save your eyes and update to a newer version. Some browsers allow you to zoom in on the whole page not just enlarge the text.

Printable pages

This site uses an alternate stylesheet for print which removes items that are not useful after printing [i.e. the navigation menu]. The print style optimises the space and text for print use. To see the print layout go File > print preview, in your browser menu.

Links

Most links have title attributes that describe the link in greater detail [unless the text of the link already fully describes the target]. Please note, most external links will open in a new browser window.

This is the text only version of the j6 design website. To see the full site please enable CSS in your browser or upgrade to a web standard compliant browser.
