TIPS & TRICKS

Maximise the seasons for website success

Maximise the seasons for website success

Have a little holiday fun and embrace the silly season all year round to improve your website sales and customer service.

Use these tips to start planning for Christmas early to ensure you maximize your sales.

1. Add a little fun to your website design

Holiday artwork (or seasonal bling as we like to call it) can improve your sales odds at specific times of the year.

Adding a Santa hat to your website logo... Easter eggs to your website page footer... or a Mothers day "dont forget to buy flowers reminder" to your e-newsletter... is a quick way to tap into your customers emotions. It reminds them that your business is made up of humans and provides a friendly edge to your customer service.

Even Google likes to add seasonal bling on its logo !

With prices starting from just $80 +gst its a cost effective way to get festive. Contact us to add some seasonal bling to your website in time for xmas ยป

2. Find other creative ways to mark the season

On your website you can use seasonal reasons as to why customers should buy your products / services. IE free gift wrapping at Christmas, Special price for Fathers day, Winter warmer ideas during July etc.

Or have a "Find Santa" competition on your website and award a prize to those who find it.

3. Send a seasonal enewsletter

Email is an inexpensive and extremely effective way to boost sales during the holiday season or around special times of the year. Think jolly xmas e-cards, Happy Australia Day e-news, End of the financial year e-newletters etc.

With e-cards, we recommend sending a link to a website landing page that holds the e-card as some email programs block e-cards for security reasons.

4. Create dedicated landing pages

A Christmas themed landing page can provide direction as well as introduce your customers to your top products.

5. Plan your attack early

Make sure you don't leave it until the last minute, or you might get lost in the Christmas rush.

Remember that search engines may take some time to re-index the Christmas promotion related content on your site, so you need to get in early.

Once the season is over customers don't likes seeing decorations still up for weeks. If you do plan to get festive with your website, make sure you put a plan in place to remove it shortly afterward.
